ABATE bikers group donates hundreds of coats to Coats for Kids

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A motorcycle group, ABATE of Washington, Tri-Cities chapter, came to the NBC Right Now Station Saturday bearing a very generous gift.

Close to a hundred bikers roared into our parking lot and dropped off over 400 coats for our Coats for Kids drive.

The men and women filed into our station with bag after bag of coats, all because they want to help out in the community.

"We're all people of the community and if we're helping the community that only all makes us feel better up here an that's where we're all coming from. We're all people and we all want to help out," said Jim Crume, ABATE of Washington, Tri-Cities Chapter.

This is the second year the group has presented us with the big donation. They've spent the last three months preparing for Saturday.

If you'd like to drop off some coats, drop-off locations can be found on our Coats for Kids page.
