Yakima, WASH.--Boys and girls in the Amateur Athletic Union Early Fall Basketball League played their last games Sunday.
Kids of all ages participate in the league, from first graders to high schoolers.
Coaches said it gets students active and gives them something to do so they'll stay out of trouble.
It also helps prepare the older kids for their upcoming school basketball seasons.
"In the Yakima Valley there's a very high turnout of kids that play basketball and that want to be extremely competitive, and AAU's the best way for younger kids, and as they grow up, this is the best way to be involved," said Coach Erin Smith.
The fall league runs for about six weeks, and games are played every Sunday.
