UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed on Interstate 82

UPDATE: UNION GAP, Wash. - We now know the name of the man killed in an accident on Interstate 82 early Tuesday morning.

The Washington State Patrol says 20 year old Charles E. Robertson from Yakima was walking across Interstate 82 when a semi truck hit and killed him.

Troopers say he died at the scene.

UNION GAP, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol is trying to determine the name of a man killed in a car crash two miles south of Union Gap Tuesday morning.

Troopers say around 2:45 AM, the man was walking across Interstate 82 near exit 40, when a semi truck struck and killed him.

The Yakima County Coroner took the body from the scene.

Troopers say neither the truck nor the driver, 52 year old Terry Armstrong from Ellensburg, were hurt. As of 9 AM, eastbound I-82 traffic was down to one lane at exit 40.
