MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Two men are in jail after the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team seized hundreds of pounds of marijuana from a home in Moses Lake.

Moses Lake Police arrested 18 year old Carlos Ali Cera of Royal City and 20 year old Juan Carlos Cortez Barajas of Quincy for drug related charges during a routine traffic stop.

Officers were watching a house in Moses Lake when they saw two men drive off. When police stopped the car, officers say they smelled marijuana, and found a large amount of pot packaged for sale inside it.

The Enforcement Team then searched the house and found more than 400 lbs. of marijuana and 19 mature plants. Officers say they also found two sheds on the property dedicated to drying and processing the pot for sale.

Detectives seized over $3,000 cash and a vehicle which officers believe are proceeds from the operation.

Officers say the men claim they were growing the marijuana under for medical use. Police booked them into the Grant County Jail.

Supervised by the Grant County Sheriff's Office, INET is comprised of detectives from the Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Quincy Police Department and Moses Lake Police Department.
