Free lung cancer screenings for qualifying patients

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Northwest Cancer Clinic is teaming up with Tri City Radiology to remind you that November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

To help spread awareness, they'll be offering free lung cancer screenings, which include a free low dose screening CT scan.

Anyone who is 55 years of age and older, and have smoke a pack of cigarettes a day for 30 years or more is eligible for a screening. To schedule, just call the Northwest Cancer Clinic at (509) 987-1800.

Screenings are limited and the Northwest Cancer Clinic staff will check to ensure this is an appropriate test for each person. Screening for lung cancer patients is designed for people who don't have symptoms, but meet other qualifying criteria.
