19-Year-Old Convicted of Murder in Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A 19-year-old was convicted of 2nd degree murder, four counts of 1st degree assault, 2nd degree unlawful possession of a firearm and two aggravating gang factors on all counts in a Yakima County courtroom today.

Erik Ramos Carrasco was accused of shooting at a car containing 5 rival gang members and associates in April 2010.

A 15-year-old juvenile was struck in the head by a bullet and died a few days later at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Another male was struck in the arm.

Carrasco faces 67 to 95 years in prison. His sentencing is set for November 16th.
