YAKIMA, Wash.-- A charity in Yakima needs your help to give Thanksgiving dinners to families in need.
The ALMS Charity is holding their second annual turkey drive this month. People can donate online with their Facebook accounts. Every $20 buys one dinner.
The organization raised enough money for 15 dinners last year and hopes to deliver 25 this year.
They encourage people with a little extra money to spend it by helping families in need.
"If we have it, why not help them? Why not make this time easier that they can enjoy, you know, being with their family and not have to worry about where's the food gonna come?" said ALMS Co-Founder Kimberly Johnstone.
The organization will take donations until November 16th.
They'll give out the dinners on November 17th between noon and three at 3505 Main Street in Union Gap. To learn more you can visit their Facebook page here.
