KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Thursday was a travel day for many local volleyball teams getting ready for their state tournaments. Southridge will be there for the third time in six years. Friday the Suns play the host school, Timberline. This season the Suns took a team approach to find success with no seniors on the roster. Southridge talks about what makes them thrive.
"I think the team chemistry, this is the best team chemistry I've had as coaching the team for the, I don't know, 16 years in high school. the support for each other on and off the court again. I think the trust, I think the big issue is trust," Southridge head coach John Lengphounpraseut said.
"It's everyone working well together, everybody talking everybody wanting to be a part of the team. Like past years there's been girls that don't really want to be here, don't want to show up. Everybody comes to practice we just want to play," Southridge junior Kimberly Brinkworth added.
