PASCO, Wa. - The Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties hosted a youth development conference in Pasco today.
The conference provided people who work with children every day. A chance to learn and practice new techniques to help kids.
They also worked on different strategies to help prepare themselves. organizers say their sessions are geared towards the future.
"Some of our training's include bullying, supervising kids during unstructured times. We want to put the best people and so we got training sessions on hiring smart and employee evaluations. It's about developing our staff as a whole to face the new future,"said Ron McHenry, Associate Executive Director.
The Boys & Girls Club serves more than 600 kids each day in Benton and Franklin Counties.
