KENNEWICK, Wash.-Do you know someone you think should be honored as Kennewick Man or Woman of the Year?
Soroptimist International of Pasco-Kennewick is taking nominations on its website.
Kirk Williamson, co-chairman of the steering committee, says nominees must live or work in Kennewick and whose services make a difference to the citizens of the community.
"You submit a very simple form, a one-thousand word narrative. We're not asking for a notebook full of news clippings, anything like that. We're looking for people who have put their heart, energy and their talent to work for the citizens of Kennewick."
The committee named local builder Dennis Polland as 2011 Man of the Year, and Columbia Center Mall Manager Barbara Johnson as Woman of the Year.
Nominations must be made by December 15th.
The soroptimist members will reveal the winner at their annual banquet in January at the Three Rivers Convention center.
