Yakima doctor hopes Ivy League experience will help the valley

YAKIMA, Wash.-- A new Yakima cardiologist hopes his Ivy League education will help people throughout the valley.

Dr. James Lee is the new director of cardiology for Yakima Regional's Cardiac and Thoracic Institute.

Lee studied at Harvard's Mass General Hospital and came to Yakima after working at a Seattle area hospital.

"Of course I'm new here, I'm learning at this time. But, my hope is to improve on what's already here and to make it even better for our community," said Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee says while it's great to have a top notch cardiac center in Yakima, maintaining a good diet and exercise can go a long way in improving your health.
