PASCO, Wash., -- A shipping company in Pasco has expanded on the heels of a $120 million investment to build and expand service centers nationwide.
Old Dominion Freight moved into a space along Interstate 82 in Pasco on a seven acre lot.
The new building increases the number of freight doors from 4 to 28.
They will also start to offer direct service shipping to Ellensberg, Hermiston, Walla Walla, Yakima, Boardman, Connell, Grandview, Quincy and Royal City.
"We'll gain productivity and we're already adding more business to the facility; that was the idea behind more doors," says Terminal Manager Stephan Ferrians. "So we've already added more freight in here and we'll continue to grow the business and fill the space."
Over the past several months the company has hired six new employees.
Old Dominion Freight has been located in Pasco for five years.
