Washington soccer star Hope Solo and former Seattle tight end Jerramy Stevens were married Tuesday, mere hours after Stevens appeared in court on an assault charge that was dropped for lack of probable cause.

The update to the story is just the latest turn in what was a bizarre turn of events on Tuesday. The Seattle Times reported news about the wedding, as did KJR radio and KING-TV.

The Times reports the couple applied for a marriage license on Nov. 8 and had been dating for about two months.
