HERMISTON, Or. -- Several local emergency responders practiced their skills during a disaster exercise earlier tonight.
The exercise scenario was an accident near the Dupont Pioneer Seed facility just south of Hermiston. About 35 people off all ages simulated injuries and were triaged, prepped and transported in less than hour to the Good Shepherd Hospital.
About 50 responders from Hermiston Fire and Emergency services, Hermiston Police, Stanfield, Umatilla, and Echo Fire Departments participated. There were no injuries.
