KENNEWICK, Wash. - Experts say more people experience stress during the holidays, but a business in Kennewick has a new way to calm your nerves.
Starting on Monday, November 19th, Yoga Community in Kennewick, (4415 W Clearwater Ave) is offering a StressBusters yoga class every Monday, from 6 to 7:30 PM, through the second week of December. The goal of the four week series is to fight stress through relaxation.
Instructors say connecting breath to the body can improve physical and mental well-being.
"We're going to be doing some gentle stretching for yoga that anyone will be able to do," said Heather Anastos, the owner and director of Yoga Communities, "we'll do some breath work as well as some meditation and just general relaxation techniques."
Anastos says relaxing through yoga is also a way to deal with anxiety, which can lead to weight gain, especially during the holidays. For more information or to sign up for the classes, click here.
