RICHLAND, Wash. - Thanksgiving is three days away and the Salvation Army wants to help people in need enjoy a home cooked meal again this year.
The free Thanksgiving dinner goes from noon until two on Thursday at The Salvation Army at 1219 Thayer Drive in Richland.
Organizers are asking people to get lunch tickets at either the Pasco or Richland locations to determine how many will be attending.
"We would like for people to come and pick them up as soon as possible no later than Tuesday. So we only have two more days but as I said before, if they are not able to get a ticket they're still welcome to be with us and enjoy a wonderful family time," said, Julio Vasquez, Major at The Salvation Army.
Organizers say they could still use donations of food and money for the dinner and the rest of the holiday season.
They plan on serving over 200 people on Thanksgiving.
