Local Christmas tree lots sprouting around the area

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Lots full of Christmas trees ready for purchase are sprouting up all over the Tri-Cities.

One lot off of West Clearwater Avenue today opened on Friday. While they hadn't had much business yet, they expect the next few days to really pick up.

But what is the perfect Christmas tree?

"That's a really good question. That's why we have different varieties. Because everybody has their own opinion on what a perfect tree is. I think the Frazier is probably the most pretty tree but we have a lot more nobles because that seems to be the most popular choice," said Dallas Decoria while selling Christmas trees.

The trees at the Clearwater lot range from little table-tops at about 3 feet tall that cost under $20. Then you can go as big as eight footers, those go for $65.
