RICHLAND, Wash. -- While many are enjoying those Thanksgiving leftovers and may even be getting their cardio in by hitting the stores around town, some dedicated people spend Black Friday working out at Gold's Gym in Richland.
A study by the New England Journal of Medicine says the average person gains a pound between Thanksgiving and New Year Day. NBC Right Now wanted to know what these dedicated workers had for dinner that drove them to the gym.
"I had mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey, some pumpkin pie and some sweet potatoes...It's the first time I've had them in quite a while," said the Assistant Director of Fitness at the Richland Gold's Gym of indulging with the mashed potatoes.
"I did alright, I had one plate and that was it. so I did good," said Michelle Price, who says this day is just like any other and she's just following routine.
"I ate a lot of bread and sugar. Mostly desserts. I'm trying to back-peddle," said Mary Polomo on the elliptical.
