SPOKANE, WA – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos are headed to the state title game, while Cusick and University came up short in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Eastside Catholic 42, University 21 - The Titans hung tough against the unbeaten Crusaders, trailing by one score, 21-14 at halftime. Eastside Catholic scored 21 unanswered points to beat the Titans 42-21 in the 3A semi-finals at Joe Albi Stadium on Saturday. Eastside Catholic will play Bellevue in the 3A title game on Friday.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 21, Waitsburg-Prescott 7 – In the 2B Semis, The Broncos jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back, beating defending champs, Waitsburg-Prescott 21-7 at Lampson Field in Kennewick on Saturday. Lind-Ritzville/Sprague will face Morton-White Pass for the state championship at 4 p.m. on Friday in the Tacoma Dome.
Liberty Christian 34, Cusick 32 – A heartbreaker for the Panthers. A late 2-point conversion by Mike Olson proved to be the difference in the 1B semi-finals as Liberty Christian beat Cusick 34-32 at Joe Albi Stadium on Saturday. Liberty Christian will play Neah Bay for the championship at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Tacoma Dome
