YAKIMA, Wash.-- The votes are in for the Yakima Rotary's "U Rule Yakima" contest.
The voting wrapped up at noon Monday to decide whether Yakima becomes "Cougar-ville" or "Husky-ville" for a week.
People could make a $20 donation and then cast their vote for the Cougars or the Huskies.
The side with the most votes will have their school colors painted down Yakima avenue, and flags and banners will be hung around town.
Yakima Rotary says they had hoped for more participation, but they're optimistic about the future of the event.
"We accomplished obviously a lot of fun with it. And I think annually it'll continue to grow and grow," says Yakima Rotary President David Hargreaves.
The rotary club will announce the winner of the contest this Saturday during their auction at the Yakima Convention Center.
