Man leads police on hot pursuit before crashing his car

PROSSER, Wash. -- The Prosser Police Department says the car chase that began in Grandview and ended in Prosser started due to a narcotics related incident. 

31-year-old Randy Moreno 31 of Mabton was arrested and booked in Yakima County.



PROSSER, Wash. - A driver leads police on a hot pursuit before crashing his car and running away.

Prosser Police said around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, a man driving a red car refused to pull over in Grandview, entered the City of Prosser.

Police chased him to Prosser where he led them in circles before crashing into a fence in an alley off Mercer Court. He then got out of his car and ran. Police shut down Wine Country Road and eventually were able to find him and arrest him.

No one was hurt during the chase. Police are still searching the scene.

The Prosser School District locked down all schools in the city until 2:10pm.
