PROSSER, Wash. -- A vehicle theft in Prosser led to multiple arrests last night.

Prosser Police checked out a vehicle theft on the 1000 block of Anna Street, and they knew two people with criminal backgrounds were staying in a building behind the house where the car was stolen - one with multiple felony warrants and the other with a history of vehicle prowl and motor vehicle thefts.

Police used the K-9 unit to search the home, and found 32-year-old Jennifer Evans of Prosser. Evans was arrested for 3 felony warrants in Benton and Yakima counties.

Late last night, police found the stolen car on Byron Road with the stereo taken out and dash damaged.

18-year-old Christian Delacruz was found shortly after and arrested for vehicle theft, malicious mischief 2nd degree, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen property, and trespass 2nd degree. Officers also obtained evidence in the vehicle linking Delacruz to multiple Prosser area vehicle prowls.
