PASCO, Wash. - Seniors in the Pasco School District are one step closer to being ready for life after school.
This week, organizers grouped students from different high schools for the 13th annual Enterprise Week. The kids had to build a company, make a business plan and create a prototype.
But while they got to experience the professional world, organizers say the simulation is more about teamwork.
"The goal of the program is for seniors to learn about team building and problem solving," said Chris Martinson, who organized the event, "and to think about their plans after high school."
Destanie Wants, the student CEO for the company "0ne Oh" said, "We got really really close, and that helped us bring our company together and I think we did a really good job working as a team."
Friday morning, students presented their work at a trade show at TRAC in Pasco. Teachers and business leaders judged the teams based on their success.
