PENDLETON, Ore. - A white supremacists gang has been linked to several assaults in Pendleton.
Police chief Stuart Roberts warned locals against any rising paranoia regarding supposed members of the European Kindred inciting a wave of violence.
Roberts said Pendleton does not have a "full-fledged" gang but there could be six or seven men living from place to place and stealing to buy drugs.
Roberts said police have been dealing with gangs in Pendleton for years and many are "more or less enamored with the ideology" of white supremacy or other groups.
He reports that Pendleton however, does not usually deal with the more serious gang-related crimes that have happened in the Walla Walla Valley and Hermiston.
