PULLMAN, Wash. - To better prepare Washington State University for technological and academic innovation, the school now has a new position: Vice President of the Global Campus.

The university's president, Elson S. Floyd has appointed David Cillay for the new position.

Floyd says the Global Campus will soon have several new responsibilities. The Campus will expand WSU's educational market share, support faculty in development and implementation of technological and pedagogical innovation and ensure that WSU remains open and accessible through digital and eLearning tools and strategies.

A WSU spokesman says the new goals of the Global Campus also include evaluating emerging models for non-traditional higher education program delivery, disseminating WSU research to a global audience and helping the university navigate the evolving regulations that govern eLearning.
