KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Washington State Department of Transportation says the interchange of State Route 240, Highway 395 and Columbia Drive in Kennewick is back open.
A truck hauling scrap metal tipped over on its side, spilling diesel fuel, closed one lane in the roundabout earlier tonight.
Troopers say two men were in the truck, but were wearing their seatbelts.
'No injuries at all thanks to the seatbelts, the passenger in the semi actually said that he was hanging upside down because his seatbelts was on, so that's good news," said Washington State Patrol Trooper Chris Thorson.
The truck was traveling eastbound on State Route 240 when it lost control going into the roundabout.
