RICHLAND, Wash. - It wasn't the North Pole but it did look a lot like Santa's Workshop in Richland Thursday.
However, rather than elves there were a handful of volunteers. It was all part of Jericho Road Ministries final check of all their donated toys that will go to kids this Holiday season. A handful of helpers spent much of Thursday testing, repairing and eventually playing with the nearly 300 toys collected so far.
"The adults coming to play with the toys is really fun. After you get a few of the remote control cars repaired and in good working order, sometimes you'll find the adults racing the cars back and forth and whooping and hollering themselves," said Amy Schultz.
Jericho Road Ministries is still accepting donations for their pre-registered families. You can drop off new or gently used toys, kids clothing or household items at 2500 Jericho Road until December 14th.
