RICHLAND, Wash.-- The White Bluffs Quilt Museum held a grand opening Sunday for their new location.
The museum left their West Richland home after six years there for a bigger space in Richland.
Museum organizers describe it as a textile arts center that offers all types of activities and exhibits for the community.
There are several different types of quilts and one dates back to 1740.
" We're just having a wonderful time. We have more space for our galleries, more space for our classes and our friendship groups that meet here regularly. You know in the summer we have about 300 kids here for classes," said Virginia Treadway, President of the White Bluffs Quilt Museum Board.
The museum also has a store where people can buy locally made quilts. At Sunday's event they raffled off a brand new sewing machine.
