Christmas displays are a hobby for some

Tieton, WASH.--For one guy, Christmas isn't just a short holiday, it's a lifetime commitment.

Jason Kesselring started working on his Christmas display last year.

He bought 14,000 lights and spent hours learning how to operate them through his computer. The lights are synchronized to six Christmas songs. They flash to the tunes of holiday classics like Silent Night and Mr. Grinch.

"Pretty much takes me all year to get the lights ready," said Kesselring. "The programming of the songs, there's about 10 plus hours per song to just program the lights to get the songs to go to the music."

Kesselring said people are more than welcome to enjoy the display. Pull up in your car and turn the radio to 88.7 FM to hear the music.

He lives at the end of South Tieton Road in Tieton.
