Dozens of Future State Troopers to Graduate Basic Training

VANCOUVER, Wash. - More than 30 Washington State Patrol recruits are scheduled to graduate from the Basic Training Academy this week.

The future troopers will graduate in a ceremony at the state Capitol on Friday. The patrol is currently on a recruiting drive to replace troopers approaching retirement age.  

About 90 troopers will be eligible to retire by the end of the year. The patrol has about 720 troopers statewide.
