KENNEWICK, Wash. - 12-12-12 was a very special day for two Kennewick sisters who turned 12 years old Wednesday.
Twins Kassidy and Kaitlyn Goddard held a 12 themed birthday party at their home Wednesday afternoon, inviting 12 friends over to celebrate.
They told NBC Right Now they realized a while ago how the dates would line up, and were excited to celebrate the unique day.
"We were just having a golden birthday, and doing all 12s," said Kassidy and Kaitlyn.
"My girls 12th birthday, its 12-12-12, so it's pretty special. It's their golden birthday and it doesn't happen very often so its pretty cool," said their dad, Ricky Goddard.
The girls spent the afternoon playing games outside and decorating gingerbread men.
