KENNEWICK, Wash. - Thanks to everyone who voted for her video, a young woman from Kennewick is now one step closer to winning a $100,000 scholarship.
18-year-old Megan Hardy is competing in the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway Contest.
About a month ago, she sent in a video showing how her education degree from WSU in Pullman will impact the world.
Out of several video submissions from all over the country, judges picked 10 finalists and put the videos up for public votes. Two weeks later, viewers voted her into the top five.
In January, the top five student contestants will go to the BCS National Championship in Florida to continue the competition. They'll throw a football at a target, and the student who lands the most footballs will win the scholarship.
