UPDATE:
TACOMA, Wash. - Police said the explosive device scare at Stadium High School in Tacoma was actually fireworks.
They said a student showed another student and someone told a teacher.
Officers said the student did not threaten anyone with the fireworks and did not plan to detonate the device until New Year's Eve. He has been expelled.

TACOMA, Wash. - Police have evacuated Stadium High School in Tacoma while they investigate what looks like a homemade explosive device.
School District spokeswoman Stacy Flores said staff and students have moved to the performing arts center across the street.
Flories said the device was found at 9:30AM on Wednesday. Students will be allowed to return when police say the building is safe.
The school district said on its Facebook page that the student was arrested.
