SPOKANE, Wash. -

Is Spokane looking at the next big thing in prep sports? Could it be a basketball player from Saint George's private school on the city's north side who grabs the spotlight?

Honestly, I don't know. But Tuesday's performance by Dexter Sienko sure looked impressive.

The junior 6-foot-6 forward scored 26 of the Dragon's 60 points against last year's 2B runner-up, Northwest Christian. He also hauled in 19 – count'em, 19 rebounds and blocked 10 shots. A triple-double.

Through nine games this year he has averaged an impressive 20.1 points per contest average.

Yes, Sienko's performance earned him the Player of the Night on SWX Tonight. It will be interesting to watch this young player for the rest of the season.
