NBCRightNow.com - Video gamers from around the world will put down their virtual guns on Friday the 21st in honor of the victims of the school shooting in Connecticut last week.
Antwand Pearman of GamerFitNation.com came up with the idea of a virtual cease fire and posted a video on Youtube urging gamers to show their support for those that are grieving.
The "Day of Cease Fire" starts tonight at midnight and will run for 24 hours.
"I'm hoping that people will look at this and then look at themselves and say, 'yes, we are capable of being the better people. We are capable of having true peace and love and respect for each other,'" Pearman said.
If you want to participate, use the hashtag "#OSCEASEFIRE" on social media, like Twitter or Facebook, to let others know about the cause.
