SEATTLE, Wash. -
The fate of the NFC West could well be decided on Sunday with the outcome of the 49ers-Seahawks contest at CentruyLink Field.
The Seahawks are riding a three game win streak, outscoring their opponents by 97 points in that span. But keep in mind those wins were against Buffalo, Arizona and Chicago – not exactly the cream of the crop in the NFL.
That will not be the story Sunday against Super Bowl contender San Francisco.
"[The 49ers] have had a great season again and they've just come off a fantastic win – a win that everyone would respect – against New England on the road late in the year… We know we're up against a fantastic group and we know we gotta get it right," said coach Pete Carroll.
On the injury front, the Seahawks placed defensive tackle Jason Jones on injured reserve with a knee injury. Hebron Fangupo will take his place on the defensive line.
