KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are looking for a man who allegedly helped two other people break into a home and steal Christmas presents on Christmas Eve.
Kennewick Police said officers approached three suspicious people hiding behind an air conditioning unit on the 400 blk of S Sharron around 10PM.
Officers said when they shined their light on them, they attempted to run away. Police were able to arrest 18-year-old Gabriel Orosco-Alaniz and 18-year-old Isai Alvarez, both from Kennewick. One suspect, 18-year-old Carlos Sanchez, ran away.
Police said it appears the suspects were opening stolen presents that they had hidden behind the air conditioning unit. Officers were able to recover all the presents stolen. They say alcohol was involved.
Around midnight, victim Jose Garcia returned home to the 1600 blk of W 4th Pl and found that someone had broken in through his back door and stolen his Christmas presents.
Officers said they determined the stolen presents belonged to Garcia and police returned them.
