PASCO, Wash. - Many volunteering their time at the Union Gospel Mission is the best way they know to celebrate Christmas.
The mission served up dinner to more than 200 people today who did not have anywhere else to go during the holidays.
The volunteers say it is a great way to give something back to their community.
"We reach out to those that need help and if I can give a couple of hours of my day to serve a meal to someone, it's definitely worth it," said volunteer Yvette Carrasco.
The volunteers served as waiters today, delivering each meal to the table, just like you would see at a regular restaurant.
