Rapper Helps With Coats for Kids

PASCO, Wash., -- A special guest volunteered at the Salvation Army in Pasco this morning to help hand out "Coats for Kids."

Rapper Curtis Young is the son of Hip-Hop icon Dr. Dre.

Young is in town to perform at Joker's Nightclub in Richland on Friday but wanted to help out in the community while he's in town.

Every year NBC Right Now teams up with the Salvation Army, local residents and businesses for our "Coats for Kids" drive.

"I want people to recognize me and understand me for a person that gives to the community and it's not about the music or anything that I do it's about giving back," Young said.

Proceeds from comedy shows at Jokers in Richland tonight and tomorrow go to the Salvation Army.

Curtis Young performs after the comedy Friday night.
