Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Mid-Columbia Libraries are allowing people with over-due books to pay with non-perishable food items instead of fines for another 3 days.

It is the 4th time they have run their Food for Fines Program and they have collected over 5,500 food items since November 1st.

Each item counts as $1 toward fines and you can pay up to $10 with food.
