Members-Only Marijuana Clubs Open in Colorado

Posted: Updated:

DENVER, Colo. - Recreational marijuana clubs are now open in Colorado.

A marijuana den for members-only opened on Monday in Denver. On Monday, the den was playing reggae music and a projector showed "The Big Lebowski."

Another club opened Monday in southern Colorado named Del Norte.

The clubs are not open to the public.

An attorney for Denver's new Club 64 says the clubs are legal under Colorado's new constitutional amendment on marijuana. However, marijuana will not be sold at the clubs.

He says Club 64 has 200 members over age 21 who paid $29.99 for a one-time club event. The club is named for Amendment 64 which was approved by voters in November.
