Oregon State Police Release First Name of Victim From Fatal Bus Crash

PENDLETON, Ore. - Oregon State Police release the name of the first victim from Sunday's fatal bus crash near Pendleton; 57-year-old Dale Osborn from Spanaway, Washington.

His wife, 65-year-old Darlene Osborn, is being treated at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton.

Police previously said all victims were adults but now they're saying one could be a juvenile girl. They say four victims were male and five were female.

Police have also adjusted the number on the bus to 47.

Oregon Police are now teaming up with the National Transportation Safety Board to do a complete inspection of the bus.

Investigators say their top priorities are notifying family about victims and helping survivors return home.

"People would like to know if a loved one was one of the deceased victims. Secondly, we know those people who are still in the area and want to leave, want to try to get them what property we can so that they can travel. And especially those that need to have their passports in order to leave the country," said Lt. Greg Hastings, Oregon State Police.
