Local Doctor to Hold Food & Fitness Help Lectures in Kennewick
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Are you looking to eat better and get in shape in 2013? A local doctor will be holding two community presentations.
In conjunction with the Community Health Alliance Food program, Dr. Matt Smith will be holding Food and Fitness meetings this month. They're both free and open to the public.
The first is Saturday, January 05th at noon at the Barnes and Noble at Columbia Center Mall.
The second, will be Friday, January 18th at noon at the Benton Franklin Health District, Classroom #1.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Washington and has been practicing medicine in the Tri-Cities since 1980. He served as the Medical Director for the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for 10 years and assists the current director as needed. He is currently an instructor for Family Medicine at Pacific Northwest University and is a member of several professional societies including the Washington Academy of Family Physicians, KGH Medical Staff, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. He is also the co-chair of the Food & Fitness Coalition.
