KENNEWICK, Wash. - Workers across the Tri-Cities are more fit thanks to the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce's "Good Health is Good Business Wellness Program."
The results are in from the 100-day challenge and the 435 participants from 76 businesses lost a combined total of 540 pounds.
The program offered the ultimate challenge: A weight-loss program and the lifestyle challenge.
Winners received money or an I-Pad for their achievements but one winner says he gained more by losing the pounds.
"I feel like I won just based off the weight loss. It's incredible I'm now off of blood pressure medication so I'm not on any medications. And I just completed my first 10-K race. So that was amazing," said 2nd Place Winner, Brian Conrad.
Conrad lost 43 lbs. or 4.3% body fat and is continuing the healthy lifestyle. He has lost another 6 lbs. since the program ended back in November.
Prent Houck came in first, losing over 10% body fat, dropping 35 lbs.
