UPDATE: Names Released in Grandview Fatal Crash

GRANDVIEW, Wash. - NBC Right Now has learned the name of the third teen in last night's fatal accident near Grandview that killed two other passengers.

Grandview School District Superintendent Kevin Chase says he is 17-year-old Jovannie Razo. Razo was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in critical condition, as of 5 AM this morning his status had not changed.

Investigators have not confirmed who was driving the car.


GRANDVIEW, Wash. - The Benton County Coroner's Office has identified the victims of the motor vehicle accident which occurred on Evans Road Tuesday night.

The coroner says 16 year old Kevin Lopez-Gonzales from Grandview died at the scene and 16 year old Carlos Ochoa also from Grandview died later at Kadlec.

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies say both were passengers in a vehicle which left the road at high speed. A third teen involved is listed in critical condition at Kadlec.

The Washington State Patrol will now be helping deputies with the investigation.


GRANDVIEW, Wash. -- Benton County Sheriff's Deputies have confirmed with NBC Right Now that a second boy in the fatal car accident near Grandview has died at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The third boy was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital and was transported to Kadlec.

Deputies have not released any names or ages of the boys involved in the accident.

"All we know is that there's going to be three very sad families tonight. And its pretty hard on the officers that are out here tonight as well." said Lt. Chuck Jones.

Washington State Patrol will be assisting the Benton County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.

Deputies say its too early to know if drugs or alcohol played a factor.  


GRANDVIEW, Wash. -- Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious crash on Evans Road, near Griffin Road, outside of Grandview.

Deputies say three teenage boys were in the car when the driver veered off the road and up a tree.

One of the teens died in the accident. The other two were seriously injured, and one of those injured boys was life flighted to a hospital.

All three boys attend Grandview High School. 

No names have been released yet. Police are still working on contacting families. 

Deputies say speed was a factor in the accident.
