KNDU.com - Sheriff deputies throughout the region say they are arresting fewer people for driving under the influence.
In Benton and Franklin Counties, Washington State's Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign in November and December resulted in 110 drunk driving arrests. That is down from 131 arrests the year before.
Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 193 intoxicated drivers, down from 227 the year before.
Statewide, law enforcement arrested nearly 3,500 drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs in November and December.
