KENNEWICK, Wash. - A new small business in Richland offers management and technical consulting services to government organization and contractors. Representatives of the woman-owned business and the TRIDEC Council launched the company Thursday.
After more than 30 years working for the government, Shirley Olinger founded Independent Strategic Management Solutions, Inc. She said the company's mission is to provide a reliable resources for the government and contractor community both on a local level and nationally.
Olinger is touted for her years of experience with the Office of River Protection and the high energy she brings to the table.
"I believe that the people that are similar to me, they are interested in providing value back into our industry and where there's meaningful work, to contribute. We have tremendous expertise and experience to be able to do that," Olinger said.
There are currently about 25 people on the ISMSolutions team, all retired from the industry. Olinger said they're a force to be reckoned with when consulting on issues because her staff members have held executive, management and senior technical positions in the industry.
The business officially opened up shop in December.
