SPOKANE, Wash. – The Ferris Saxons used standout performances from Brittany Johnson and Cody Benzel to sweep Lewis and Clark in the Rubber Chicken Thursday at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

In the early game, the Ferris girls (8-3, 6-3) knocked off Lewis and Clark 76-71 thanks in large part to Johnson's 32 points. Abby Liss contributed 17 points of her own as the Saxons held off a late Tiger rally to preserve the victory. Brooklyn Howlett led Lewis and Clark (5-6, 5-4) with 17 points, while Riley Lupfer chipped in 16.

In the nightcap, the Saxons took the lead in the third quarter and never looked back en route to a 64-49 victory. Benzel scored a game-high 22 points and Beau Lockmer added 17 points of his own to help the Saxons improve to 8-3 on the season. Dean Richey dropped in 18 points for the Lewis and Clark, which drops to 4-7 overall.

It was not entirely a lost night for the Tigers, however, as they did take home Chuck, taking the rubber chicken back from last year's winner Ferris. Lewis and Clark fans were decked out a "Chuck Ahoy" theme, while the Saxons countered with "Farmer Chuck."
