Benton Franklin Health District Has Flu Shots

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Many pharmacies are starting to run out of flu shots, but the Benton Franklin Health District says it still has an ample supply.

The Centers for Disease Control says the flu has turned into an epidemic, though the CDC says cases are starting to decrease in certain parts of the country.

Local health district workers recommend making an appointment to get a flu shot, but they will take walk-ins.

District Administrator Jason Zaccaria says the health district may also hold an evening flu shot clinic later this month.

Zaccaria says the health district is optimistic the epidemic will peak before it reaches Eastern Washington.
