YAKIMA, wash--Two suspects in a weekend armed robbery were caught and booked into the Yakima County Jail.
Yakima Police said a woman was confronted by a Hispanic man with a handgun Friday night and told to give up her purse.
The suspect then ran to a waiting vehicle nearby but when he realized police were close, he took off on foot.
A witness reported a suspicious man running down South 36th Avenue and West Mead. Union Gap Police and a Yakima County Sheriff's Deputy were in the area and put the suspect in custody.
Officers were able to retrieve the woman's purse and took the suspects handgun. Both men are facing robbery and assault charges.
